Staten Island September 11 Memorial

Wings & Peace. The Postcards memorial was built in 2004, it is a permanent memorial honoring the 274 Staten Island residents killed in the September 11 attacks of 2001 and in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. It resembles a pair of wings reaching skyward. The inside walls of the construction feature 274 plaques with the names, birthdays, job titles and profile silhouettes of loved ones lost.
