Must to do is to get the Staten Island Ferry which offers a free service from Battery Parkl in Lower Manhattan to St George in Staten Island. You can get outstanding views of Lower Manhattan and Statue of Liberty. Check the schedules of the ferry.

Staten Island September 11 Memorial
Wings & Peace. The Postcards memorial was built in 2004, it is a permanent memorial honoring the 274 Staten Island residents killed in the September 11 attacks of 2001 and in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. It resembles a pair of wings reaching skyward. The inside walls of the construction feature 274 plaques with the names, birthdays, job titles and profile silhouettes of loved ones lost.
