Curry soup with green pepper and carrot, Cambodian spring rolls and spicy chicken with carrot and onion. (the total price I think was around 10/15 euros for 2 people)
4.30pm – Discovering the city of Siem Reap and Shopping.
Walking around Pub Street.
Exploring this city which grows around the Angkor Temples and surprisingly, it is very interesting.
There are many bars and restaurants. Here some prices.
Siem Reap is widely renowned as the gateway to Angkor Wat, the millennium-old temple ruins of the Khmer Empire.
Set along the Siem Reap River, this small provincial capital boasts hundreds of sightseeing opportunities such as well-preserved colonial buildings, unique museums, traditional markets, cultural performances, and verdant parks. This small but lively town close to the northern shore of Tonle Sap Lake has seen phenomenal growth as a tourist destination in recent years, and now offers all the facilities expected by experienced world travelers.
After that, we where shopping in a roof covered market with many stores and a wide array of souvenirs and items.
9.00 pm – Dinner at Mad Monkey.
Dinner at our hostel Mad Monkey. Ribs and French fries. The menu is very varied and the prices are fine.
The rules of the swimming pool of the hostel. With fun every advice is more seductive!
And the rules in the toilet of the hostel. When you realize about important things in life…
By the way. A very nice Cambodian driver let me drive a tuk-tuk! Go to challenges section 😉
