Praça CR7
Cristiano Ronaldo is the most famous person of Madeira Island, he has an statue as well as a hotel. My football team is Real Madrid and I admire so much this player.
Jardim Municipal do Funchal
Lovely garden to find exotic flowers right in the heart of the city. Enjoy all the colors and smells!
Blandy’s Wine Lodge
The wine in Madeira has a great quality and Blandy´s is one of the oldest and most emblematic wine houses in the island where you can buy and taste some of the best ones.
Cathedral of Funchal
The area of the cathedral is wonderful with the main bank (picture below) and beautiful streets full of shops and bars.
Mercardo dos Lavradores
Must visit to discover all the products of the island, you can ask to the vendors to give a small try to the varied tropical fruits and then buy the ones you most like. Do you know all these fruits? Try them all to find your favorite!
There is also an area dedicated to sea food.
Rua de Santa Maria
The historical centre of the city of Funchal, better known as the “Zona Velha” (Old Town), presents the Painted Doors Project, a public art project which transforms this area into a permanent art gallery along Rua de Santa Maria.
There are many painted doors with many different styles, making this street very special.
Venda Velha
One of the best bars to try the Poncha. At night there is many people with music and nice ambience.
Forte de São Tiago
Old fort with a wonderful restaurant and delicious food surrounded by historical environment.
Funchal Cable Car
Funchal from top! 🚠The cable car offers magnificent panoramic views from Funchal towards Monte with a length of around 15 minutes. The price is 10 euros one way and 15 euros return.
